About the role:The Senior Business Analyst on the Apply team
will help to define and build the tools used by advisors and
clients during the purchase experience, specifically focused on the
digital application tools used to purchase a new product. Work on a
multi-functional team of product managers, engineers, designers and
domain experts in an agile methodology to deliver on outcomes!About
the team:The Apply team is working on creating a seamless
experience for Northwestern Mutual life insurance customers! This
visible work includes preparing a fully Digital Application
platform for migration of all Service Request Center (SRC)-based
applications.Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Business Expertise: Provide or develop deep expertise in the
Apply experience with a broad understanding of the related and
dependent business areas. Articulate this knowledge as an expert at
the department level and/or provide insight at the enterprise
level.
- Current State, Future State and Gap Analysis: Independently
assess and document current state across multiple processes,
business areas and domains while consulting and mentoring other
Business Analysts. Think strategically in understanding business
drivers to define "target state" solutions.
- Gather Requirements: Lead requirement gathering for larger
efforts and across multiple business domains or from other business
analysts. Guide and mentor in requirement gathering skills to other
Business Analysts.
- Author User Stories and/or Features: Working independently with
medium to high complexity and sometimes across multiple teams. Act
as an authority throughout the development process as needs arise.
Incorporate technical detail suitable to an engineering audience
into user stories and features.
- Test Plan Reviews: Support solution delivery by coordinating
and facilitating the business test planning and test execution by
authoring, participating in, and ensuring business sign-off of
testing processes for medium and large efforts.
- Leadership: Work independently and may coordinate work for
others and/or provide mentorship. May provide business direction,
guidance, and decisions to development and delivery teams.
- Project Management: Use advanced project management skills to
lead, complete and advance work.Qualifications
- 4-5 Years prior Experience demonstrating business analysis;
significant experience gathering technical requirements and writing
user stories and features for engineering teams
- Knowledge and abilities to position themselves as the
communications expert and go to resource for key information and
decisions making.
- Experience in financial services, specifically purchase or
apply experience, a plus.
- Deep familiarity of agile & scrum development
environments.
- Experience solving sophisticated problems; taking a new
perspective on existing solutions; exercising judgment based on the
analysis of multiple sources of information.Compensation Range:Pay
Range - Start:$76,650.00Pay Range - End:$142,350.00Geographic
Specific Pay Structure:195 - Structure 110: 84,350.00 USD -
156,650.00 USD195 - Structure 115: 88,130.00 USD - 163,670.00 USDWe
