Responsibilities

Bring your compassion, expertise, enthusiasm, and passion for quality to a place that cultivates wellness and inspires hope.We are currently seeking a Unit Clerk/Family Coordinator for Riveredge Hospital. Simply apply to the posting and discuss your interests with the hiring manager if you are selected to come in for an interview.The Unit Clerk is responsible for clerical duties, unit organization, and overall milieu support.

Responsible for answering telephones and welcoming/greeting new patients to the unitResponsible for effective documentation management of record keeping systemsOversee patient belongings during intake and discharge processMaintain supplies for the support of the unit and patientsCross-train as a Mental Health Associate to assist with breaks and patient care.Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Job Experience/Certification:

HS diploma/GED required; Associates Degree preferred 1 year experience in office/clerical support preferredExperience with psychiatric patient population preferredSpecial Knowledge and Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills required.Is open and respectful of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients and is willing and competent to work with a diverse client population.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work both independently and a part of a high functioning team.Experience and ability to use computers for data entry, communication and report writingKnowledge of all code procedures with the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situationsAbility to push, pull and lift to 40 pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
