Supervise warehouse shipping, receiving, and/or replenishment activities and personnel to ensure that allfunctions are performed within Company, Distribution Center, and Department guidelines as outlined inDistribution Center Operations Manual.WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Accountable and Reports to: Distribution Senior SupervisorPRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:- Supervise the work force in the accomplishment of the day-to-day assignments- Conducts daily pre-shift and post-shift inspection of the work area to identify and remove any workflow impediments- Oversees pallet assembly to ensure stores receive the cases they ordered, on well-built pallets, andsecurely wrapped before being loaded onto trailers- Resolves inventory discrepancies and issues credits to stores when appropriate- Ensures steady work flow through the warehouse via routine spot checks on progress of associates andadjusts manpower to increase efficiency- Keeps abreast of the volume of work, issues work assignments and follows through to assurecompletion within schedules, and acceptable standards- Works with Superintendent to ensure that safety, security, sanitation and pest control codes, laws, andpolicies are maintained- Ensures associates have equipment needed to perform their work and assists them in securing thenecessary equipment if a mechanical breakdown occurs- Maintains daily production and accuracy records- Maintains company policies and contractual agreements- Develops productive associates through training, coaching and disciplining when necessary, in order toachieve company goals and objectives- Develops and maintain good working relationship with all departments within supply chainSECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS: (These are considered occasional in nature)- Performs other duties as assigned, to include special projectsSKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB:- Bachelor's Degree not requires but preferred- Possess strong general knowledge of all warehousing operations, with prior work experience to includelead person or supervisory duties.- Possess good supervisory skills and the ability to work with and through others to achieve desiredresults.- Possess good communications skills, both oral and written.- Possess solid computer skills that include Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to read and interpretcomputerized reports.- Requires the analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate,safe and thorough completion of work activities. Possess ability to concentrate and deal with frequentinterruptions.--WORKING CONDITIONS:- Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards exist with regard tomachinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers,etc. Work environment is hectic, demanding, and fast paced.- Work is performed in varying conditions; warehouse environment, warehouse temperaturesranging from -20 degrees through ambient outside temperatures over 80 degrees and temperaturecontrolled office environmentEQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM JOB:- Incumbent may use Telxon scan gun, computers, keyboards, tablets, calculators, telephone, tablet andother office equipment in the course of normal workday.CONTACTS:- Has daily contact with co-workers, suppliers/vendors and customers.
