Job Description:

We're seeking a Shipping Foreman/Group Lead for our 2nd shift. In this role, you'll be instrumental in our fast-paced environment, preparing items for shipment with the following responsibilities: Overseeing general shipping activities Leading the shipping staff Maintaining the shipping department Loading and unloading trucks Physically moving bread/bun stacks to the shipping dock Repetitive handling of products for depot locations Shuttle bread trays and materials to staging areas Unloading semi-trailers, inspecting incoming shipments, and managing discrepancies Loading cased bread/bun products onto pallets Operating electric pallet jacks and stretch wrap banders Managing computer functions for tracking goods Collaborating within a busy dispatch department Creating shipping labels and managing shipping information Qualifications and skills required: Detail-oriented Ability to multitask Thrives in a fast-paced environment Reliable with strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication and follow-up abilities Capable of running day-to-day operations Proficient in computer skills Physical requirements: Constant standing and walking on concrete floors and trailer beds Frequent pushing/pulling of transport racks and bread trays Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, lifting, and carrying Handling and grasping of bakery product trays, transport racks, and boxes Frequently lifting and/or moving items up to 50 lbs Additionally, reliable transportation and adherence to attendance standards for our 24/7 production facility are essential.
