What you'll do: Our rapidly growing Product & Design organization is seeking an experienced and highly creative Sr. UX/Product Designer with a passion for trading, crypto, and cutting-edge design innovation. This role will be critical in shaping the next generation of trading experiences across our award-winning trading platform. In this role you will: Operate as part of a product-driven, agile organization that prioritizes research, client feedback, and fast iteration Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Marketing to define, design, and deliver exceptional user experiences Design intuitive, elegant interfaces across desktop, web, and mobile platforms using industry best practices Leverage data, user research, and feedback loops to validate design decisions and continuously improve UX Lead end-to-end design processes including ideation, prototyping, high-fidelity mockups, and implementation support Partner with Product Management to translate customer insights and business requirements into innovative features Apply a systems-thinking approach to create scalable, component-based solutions within our design system Help evolve and maintain our internal design system, ensuring consistency and quality across platforms Contribute to a culture of design excellence by mentoring peers, sharing feedback, and presenting work to stakeholders Stay informed on industry trends in fintech, trading, and emerging tech—including AI—to drive forward-thinking design Explore AI-powered prototyping and interaction design to help us stay ahead of the curve What you'll need: 3–5 years of UX and/or UI design experience in a SaaS environment Strong proficiency in Figma, with a robust portfolio showing polished product designs and design system usage Expertise in UX fundamentals including layout, spacing, hierarchy, prototyping, journey mapping, and conversion-focused flows Experience with scalable design systems and component libraries Ability to design, prototype, and iterate quickly in response to feedback Comfortable working independently while thriving in a collaborative, cross-functional environment Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present ideas and advocate for design decisions Proficiency in tools such as Figma, InVision, Axure, or similar Bonus Points for: Hands-on experience creating and managing design systems Familiarity with front-end code including HTML5, CSS, and React Experience prototyping with AI tools such as Claude, Figma AI, or other emerging platforms Compensation: The salary range for this role will be $110,000 - $160,000 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 10%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%). Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays. Location: This role is based in Chicago, IL. *There may be remote flexibility for exceptional candidates in the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, Wisconsin. Hybrid: For Chicago-based employees, we follow a hybrid work schedule: In-office Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
