Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Rockford, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,150 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse, Step Down, Telemetry Med / Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current nursing license Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Extensive Cardiac experience Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, and Step-Down ICU units. Extensive Cardiac experience is required. The candidate must have a current nursing license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the Physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise and provides guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
