Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Technologist Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1st Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: - License: Required Certifications & Licensure: - ARRT registered. - Advanced certification in MRI required within 18 months of hire. - BLS certified within 90 days of hire. Must-Have: - Ability and demonstrated competence in IV insertion and contrast injection. - Ability to assimilate new procedures into work routine. Description: Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist and oversight of a senior MRI Technologist. Interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients, and visitors. Acts as a resource person for MRI technical and other issues. Demonstrates competence according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates MRI and related equipment, prepares scan room, equipment, supplies, and medications. Maintains images and archives associated with patient data. Other duties as assigned. Schedule includes Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm. On-call responsibilities include weeknights and weekends in rotation with other technologists, typically one night and one weekend per month. Demonstrates good communication skills and flexibility with schedule to support staffing plan changes.
