Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University Medical Center, a
nationally recognized clinical and academic institution located in
downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of OBGYN
Research Faculty.This Research Faculty member will support the
development of the OBGYN Research Program by conducting complex
reproductive health research to decrease reproductive health
disparities and enhance health equity. The Chair of the Department
is a successful NIH-funded investigator with multiple clinical
trials in the areas of Contraception Provision and HIV Prevention.
We are seeking individuals who will conduct innovative, rigorous,
grant-funded research, engage in scholarly activities
(peer-reviewed publications, presentations, etc.), and can mentor
other faculty members. Specifically, this individual should plan
and direct qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, and other
research relevant to Obstetrics and Gynecology and related
subspecialties, including Complex Family Planning, Maternal-Fetal
Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, and Urogynecology. Research should
promote collaborations that bring together stakeholders from inside
and outside the healthcare system to address disparities in health
outcomes. Rush University partners with the University of Chicago
and other local health systems and universities in the Institute
for Translational Medicine (www.chicagoitm.org), a NIH
translational sciences center. With DePaul University, Rush
established the Center for Community Health Equity
(https://www.healthequitychicago.org/) to advance public health and
reduce health disparities through community-engaged inquiry,
scholarship, and service. Rush is also a participant in the
PCORI-funded Chicago-Area Patient-Centered Outcomes Research
Network, or CAPriCORN (http://capricorncdrn.org/). These networks,
combined with Rush's own internal culture of interprofessional
collaboration, make this a rich environment in which talented
researchers can thrive.Ideal candidates are PhD level candidates
with training in Public Health, Epidemiology or other related

compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive
programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the
wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation
decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills;
relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and
licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This
total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes
any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
Additional compensation may include sign-on bonuses and relocation
allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.Pay
