Adelphi is seeking a Medical Director to provide both clinical and administrative services at a facility located Elkhorn, Wisconsin.

Requirements: --- Active WI license --- BC --- DEA --- BLS, ACLS --- ABLM, CMD --- 1 Year experience working in a long-term care setting as an Medical Director

Responsibilities: --- Develop and implement resident care policies covering pain management, symptom control, and resident assessments (physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs), reviewed annually. --- Evaluate staff training programs to ensure nursing competencies and address identified gaps. --- Recommend education programs to improve outcomes and tailor training based on the resident population (e.g. geriatrics, mental health). --- Identify specific training needs (e.g. ventilators, IVs, trachs) and establish a system to track training effectiveness. --- Ensure competency-based training includes practical skills and critical thinking in complex care settings, not just online modules. --- Conduct initial examinations within 72 hours of admission and schedule follow-ups as needed. --- Commit 20 hours per month to medical director duties and provide attending physician services. --- Be responsive to policy updates and available for Department of Health Services surveys and investigations. --- Partner closely with residents, ensuring all physicians complete their tasks. --- Meet regularly with clinical management to discuss care delivery and attend monthly QAPI meetings. --- Any other duties assigned by the Department.
