Job Description:

The Regional Risk & Aquatics Manager is responsible for advancing and supporting initiatives, standards, and capabilities across Safety, Risk Management, Aquatics and Security functions for lodges in their assigned region.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain standardization and optimization of operational procedures and training in lodge Security, Safety and Aquatics operations.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to drive performance improvement in NPS and eNPS metrics across Security, Safety and Aquatics functions.
  • Review and analyze incident reporting and data from Lodge operations to identify and implement action items, as necessary.
  • Develop, improve, manage & maintain collaborative efforts with Lodge leaders and other corporate stakeholders to deliver programs and foster new program opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Work in partnership with the Lodges to analyze operations to evaluate performance in meeting strategic goals and objectives, and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
  • Enable and lead consistent cadence of communications with Safety and Security functional areas and relevant content for periodic review.
  • Plan, administer, and monitor safety program(s) which comply with Great Wolf policies, health and safety standards, government regulations, and third-party requirements.
  • Perform safety, security and waterpark audits of the lodges and coordinate any third party audit requirements.
  • Create, collect and organize content to assist Lodges in Safety Committee and driving Safety culture.
  • Communicate lodge opportunities, challenges, successes, and relevant information to Corporate Director of Risk Management and Corporate Director of Aquatics. Prepare relevant content for periodic review.Position Requirements:Basic Qualifications & Skills
    • High School diploma or equivalent experience
    • High proficiency creating and maintaining documents with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Minimum of 8 years experience supervising, coaching, developing, leading, promoting teamwork, and providing effective feedback to employees.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve conflict and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
    • Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or Holidays as needed
    • Willingness to travel extensively - expectation to visit all Lodge locations within region at least once per year and more frequently as may be advisableDesired Qualifications & Traits
      • College Degree
      • Experience in an Aquatics management position
      • Experience in managing a company or facility safety and/or security program
      • Demonstrated ability of incident and claims management.
      • Experience in completing varied line of business safety/security inspections.Physical Requirements
        • Able to bend, stretch, and twist
        • Able to sit or stand for long periods of time
