Consider this opportunity: Structural Engineering – Cold-Formed – Project Manager – Primary Responsibilities: Organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining project budgets. Manage and review structural engineering drawings for assigned projects/work assignments including the preparation of plans, schedules and details Review structural systems of primarily cold-formed steel framing for a variety of healthcare, commercial, retail, multi-family residential, industrial and institutional buildings nationwide Review Structural calculations for submittal Manage CAD and BIM Technicians to produce shop drawings and BIM models Manage engineers on the team on larger projects Assist with training and mentoring team members and technical skills training for professional growth and development Assist with plan review for team members Communicate with clients and maintain project schedules and design budgets Help lead business development efforts for cold-formed projects, including identifying new opportunities and writing proposals. Develop and manage a portfolio of clients. Perform and lead the structural design of various building design projects. This includes development of structural design documents, calculations, and specifications. Perform construction administration duties. Some experience with oversight is a plus. Extensive knowledge of cold-formed steel design and light steel framing. Strong working knowledge of AISI standards for cold-formed steel framing projects. Have ability to develop innovative solutions for complex problems. Leadership mentality and ability to work well with others. Good engineering judgement and decision making. Professional Engineer Licensure required. Illinois Structural Engineer Licensure preferred. Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs including CFS Designer & RISA.
