Job Description Job Description Manufacturing Engineer The
Manufacturing Engineer supports production and processes for CNC
machining centers as well as for the processes of assembling CNC
lathes. This involves supporting lean initiatives, continuous
improvement projects, and standardization to support ISO 9001.
Provides technical solutions regarding CNC programming, routing
development, assembly process development and improvement, and
tooling/fixture design. Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree
in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or related). Six Sigma Belt
training preferred. 3 years of experience in CAD/CAM required (i.e.
AutoCAD, Solidworks, MasterCam, SmartCam, etc.). Knowledge of CNC
machine programming. Should have strong leadership capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong working
knowledge of manufacturing processes required. Project management
experience. ERP experience (JD Edwards preferred).
Responsibilities: Assures product and process quality by designing
testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities;
establishing standards; and support resources to maintain and
document processes. Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing
and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product
design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring
with equipment vendors; soliciting observations and participation
from operators. Analyze, evaluate, promote and oversee
implementation of production improvements and cost reduction ideas
using lean methodology. Lead process-related projects from
inception to full implementation. Facilitate continuous improvement
throughout the location. Utilize Lean tool expertise (5S, Standard
Work, DMAIC, Material Flow, etc.) to drive continuous improvements.
Coordinate new product release from Product Engineering to
Manufacturing. Coordinate/implement engineering changes among
engineering, assembly and quality teams Develops manufacturing
processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing,
modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment;
conferring with equipment vendors Improves manufacturing efficiency
by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and
equipment layout. Maintains product and process data base by
writing computer programs; entering data. Completes design and
development projects by training and guiding technicians. Salary:
$80,000 to $100,000 based on experience Benefits: Health / Life
