Chapman and Cutler LLP is seeking an Enterprise Solutions EngineerJoin our Information Services/Application Department in our Chicago office. The Enterprise Solutions Engineer is responsible for implementing, customizing, and supporting off-the-shelf software solutions aligned with business needs. This role involves managing software implementations and contributing to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. The position requires in-office presence in Chicago with some flexibility for remote work.Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with firm leadership, practice groups, and administrative departments to gather, document, and clarify project requirements. Work with application development teams to translate these into work plans, including process mapping, ensuring business needs are met and project milestones achieved.
• Guide architecture and design decisions, evaluate and select solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing technology platforms, aligning with the firm's long-term IT strategy.
• Oversee implementations, facilitate needs assessments, and create design documents like screen mockups, entity relationship diagrams, and process flow diagrams.
• Develop solutions using existing or new tools and platforms, including applications, databases, and workflows. Collaborate with internal clients for testing and implementation, providing presentations and demonstrations.
• Act as a solutions evangelist, raising awareness of capabilities, empowering staff to utilize tools effectively, and researching new technologies for future solutions.
• Follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) when implementing custom solutions, including SharePoint and Power Platform based solutions.
• Document code, create process diagrams, and develop support documentation in Confluence for cross-training.Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with at least five (5) years of experience in business analysis, computer science, or project management. Experience in the legal industry is preferred.
• Proven experience managing multiple complex projects.
• Knowledge of requirements definitions and application development standards.
• Strong technical skills related to system development platforms, tools, and processes.
• Understanding of software development processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to learn new software, including configuration, training, and documentation, becoming a subject matter expert.
• Proficiency in SQL query writing and troubleshooting in MSSQL Server environment, familiar with normalized data structures.
• Preferred: Experience with SharePoint Online and Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI, Flow).
• Preferred: Skills in PowerShell, RESTful API, JSON, HTML.
• Committed to following all security protocols and maintaining information security.In accordance with the Illinois Pay Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this Illinois position is between $110,000 and $150,000.To apply, submit a cover letter and resume.
