The Senior Cabinet Engineer, OSP is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of "Outside Plant" (OSP) engineering, including the design, construction, maintenance, and optimization of telecommunications infrastructure like fiber optic cables, poles, conduits, and other network components, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and meet technical standards while mentoring junior engineers and requiring expertise in reading engineering drawings, interpreting survey maps, and developing detailed project plans. This position is highly technical and fast-paced, with opportunities for advancement

Key Responsibilities:
--- Lead and manage complex OSP projects from conception to completion, including budget oversight, timelines, and resource allocation.
--- Develop detailed OSP network designs, considering factors like cable routing, conduit placement, pole locations, and fiber optic splicing points.
--- Possess in-depth knowledge of OSP engineering practices, standards, and regulations related to fiber optic cabling, copper networks, and underground infrastructure.
--- Conduct field surveys to gather data on existing infrastructure, identify potential challenges, and create accurate as-built drawings.
--- Monitor and manage OSP construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality control standards, and safety protocols.
--- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including engineering drawings, splicing diagrams, network maps, and technical reports.
--- Identify and resolve technical issues with the OSP network, including troubleshooting cable faults, splicing repairs, and network performance optimization.
--- Provide guidance and training to junior OSP engineers on technical aspects of the job, industry best practices, and project management.
--- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the effective operation of the department.

Qualifications
--- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, GIS, or 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
--- ArcGIS/ESRI products work experience required.
--- Must have experience in FTTH, Wholesale, Small Business, MDU, Civil Projects (Relocations), and Greenfield implementations.
--- Must have in-depth understanding of construction and splicing practices
--- Must have in-depth understanding of permitting, construction, and splicing practices.
--- Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
--- Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects coupled with experience in working with fast-paced engineering in a production environment.
--- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
--- Must be a responsible, motivated individual without the need for daily oversights.
--- Strong organizational skills.
