Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Job Summary: Delivers effective
program instruction using specified evidence-based curriculum,
while providing group and educational services for participants of
the prevention program and coordination of parenting meetings.
Grant funded: Temporary position, continuation of employment is
contingent upon renewal of grant. Job Responsibilities: Effectively
deliver evidence-based curricula for program participants,
reinforcing age- appropriate language and medically accurate
instructional strategies. Obtain and prepare program materials.
Conduct virtual sessions with youth and families as needed. Train
new educators on evidence-based curricula. Assist Program Manager
in reviewing the most current CDC, NIH, and state and local vital
statistics to ensure program materials adhere to medical accuracy.
Ensure enrollment forms and attendance data are entered into OPTS
in a timely fashion. Assist the Program Manager and Program
Implementation Specialist in identifying and securing program sites
to host educational programming for project youth. Provide services
using a trauma-informed approach, reinforcing positive youth
development. Screen for trauma exposure and refer for services as
needed. Assist in coordinating and hosting special events
throughout the community. Prepare reports as required and develop
and maintain project resources. Attend trainings, community
meetings, and events as directed by supervisor. Follow all
requirements and guidelines of program funder under the guidance of
supervisor. Experience: At least one year of experience in public
speaking, teaching/grant facilitation, and experience and comfort
level working with representatives from agencies, community-based
organizations, and youth. At least one year of proven experience in
the delivery of youth work and youth work-led programming for young
people between the ages of 4-18. Knowledge of youth development
principles and effective teaching strategies required. CPR
Certification (Adult, Child, and Infant) preferred or attend and
successfully complete certification within the first six months of
employment. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health, Sociology,
Social Work, Human Services and/or Education preferred. Skills:
Ability to maintain professional working relationships with other
team members, school personnel, community providers, and
stakeholders. Ability to work with individuals with diverse
cultural, ethnic, and social groups. Must be computer literate with
a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the capability to learn
new data management processes. Strong instructional training skills
preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work independently
and as a team member. Ability to manage time efficiently and meet
deadlines. Must have a valid WI driver’s license, good driving
record, and meets state-required automobile insurance minimums.
