Job Description:
Project Engineer – Highrise Construction - Chicago Our client is
seeking a sharp, organized construction professional who enjoys
coordinating moving parts and keeping projects on track. In this
role, you’ll support the delivery of complex construction projects
from early planning through turnover. You’ll work closely with both
office and field teams, helping translate design intent into
real-world execution while keeping schedules, documents, and
communication tightly managed. This is a great fit for someone who

rapidly growing professionally. Responsibilities Overall Support
project leadership throughout planning, buyout, construction, and
closeout Serve as a central point for information flow between
field operations, design teams, and subcontractors Assist with
schedules, budgets, coordination, and paperwork associated with
active projects Preconstruction Help prepare quantity surveys and
scopes of work Assist with pricing exercises, estimate development,
and value?engineering efforts Research and help vet subcontractors
and vendors Construction Administration Maintain organized control
of drawings, specifications, addenda, and related documents Prepare
meeting agendas, attend progress meetings, and distribute action
items Process RFIs, submittals, and approvals using project
management software Track procurement, long-lead items, and
delivery schedules Assist with permit applications and agency
approvals Support change management, including logging, tracking,
and documentation Maintain various logs such as RFIs, submittals,
contracts, change orders, punch lists, and closeout documents
Coordinate communication among field teams, subcontractors,
consultants, utilities, and ownership stakeholders Field Support
Work alongside superintendents to monitor daily site activity
Prepare purchase orders and monitor material deliveries Document
field conditions, design revisions, and potential cost or schedule
impacts Participate in site safety initiatives Assist in developing
and closing punch lists and deficiency lists Help coordinate site
visits and inspections Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher
in construction management, project management, engineering, or
related discipline Understanding of construction processes and
applicable building codes Experience working with scheduling and
document-management tools Proficiency with common office and
project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Office, Bluebeam)
Compensation Estimated salary range: $75,000 – $100,000 , strong
