Job Description Job Description Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician Job Description This position is for a Building Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of facilities through regular maintenance, repairs, and improvements. This role requires a blend of mechanical knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to work with various maintenance systems. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and maintenance on buildings and equipment to ensure optimal functioning. Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate repair schedules to minimize disruption. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory. Fabricate parts as necessary to maintain equipment and systems. Troubleshoot and repair logic controllers and other automated systems. Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively. Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or fabrications. Use an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical systems. Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally. Essential Skills Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various systems. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively. Proficient in welding techniques and practices. Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with CMMS software is preferred. High school graduate or trade school is preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility is medium-sized with a production shop feel and is currently expanding, adding new production lines to support growth. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
