Job Description Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative to join our Ophthalmology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare setting and possess knowledge of medical records, scheduling, and administrative support. Responsibilities: - Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner - Schedule patient appointments efficiently using an electronic medical records system - Obtain and verify insurance information - Maintain patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations - Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel - Provide administrative support such as filing, faxing, and scanning - Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent service delivery Knowledge: - Experience with computers and electronic medical records software - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology, preferred - Experience in medical scheduling or receptionist duties - Ability to operate multi-line phone systems effectively If you are a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position as a Patient Care Coordinator PAY RANGE: $18.00 to $23.25 Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
