Job Description Job Description Staff Accountant (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Louisville, KY Pay Range: $28-$33/hour Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Work Environment: Onsite About the Role Our client in the Indianapolis area is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with hands-on experience using ERP systems . This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys owning end-to-end accounting tasks, and is looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent position. Key Responsibilities Support daily accounting operations within the ERP system Prepare and post journal entries; assist with general ledger maintenance Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial schedules Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed Compile reports, analyze variances, and support audits Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies Maintain accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality across all accounting functions Required Qualifications 2 years of Staff Accountant experience Experience working within an ERP platform ( e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics , or similar) Strong understanding of GAAP principles Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar environments (if you want, I can tailor this closer to the client industry) Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Pay Details: $28.00 to $33.00 per hour Search managed by: Elisia Bybee Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
