Responsibilities: • Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Reconcile general ledger accounts and analyze balances to maintain accuracy and compliance with established policies. • Prepare and review financial statements, providing insights into trends, variances, and potential issues. • Develop and maintain detailed financial, costing, and operational reports to support organizational decision-making. • Conduct complex bank and account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and ensuring resolution. • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations. • Manage fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliation to the general ledger. • Contribute to process improvements and the documentation of accounting procedures to enhance workflow efficiency. • Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis to support financial performance tracking. • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure reliable financial information and compliance. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger management and financial close processes. • Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements, including variance analysis and trend identification. • Experience with sales and use tax filings, fixed asset accounting, and reconciliation processes. • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, as well as policy and procedure development. • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Dynamics GP, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Avalara, and Vertex Sales & Use Tax.
