Job Description Location: East Chicago Watling IN Job Req ID: 14179 Join our amazing team and contribute as a: /n Production Supervisor, Slag ABOUT THE ROLE /n The Production Slag Supervisor oversees the entire slag production process in a manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining quality standards, and managing a team of workers responsible for collecting, processing, and handling slag while adhering to safety regulations and optimizing production output. Position Location: Amrize Slag Plant is onsite the Cleveland-Cliffs Steel Plant in East Chicago, Indiana. Position Shift: /n This role works 12 hour shifts, with 4 days on and 4 days off (Monday through Sunday, all calendar days). /n This is a rotational shift position, one month per shift rotation, the shift hours are 6:00 - 6:00. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH /n /n - Monitoring slag production processes to ensure consistent quality and compliance with specifications. /n - Adjusting production schedules and optimizing workflow to meet daily targets and deadlines. /n - Identifying and addressing production bottlenecks or issues to minimize downtime. /n - Overseeing the collection, transportation, and storage of slag materials. /n - Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. /n /n WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR /n Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent or 3 years of equivalent experience /n Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree /n Field of Study Preferred: Quality Control, Manufacturing, and Production /n Required Work Experience: 1-3 years Required /n Travel Requirements: Minimal Additional Requirements: /n /n - Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
