Senior Accountant, Core Accounting at a Glance....
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team
and take on the responsibility of overseeing the unclaimed property
process, provide accounting support for an export legal entity and
other areas of Core Accounting, facilitate the month-end close for
North America, and perform other ad hoc duties as requested. This
position will report to the Manager of Core Accounting within the
North American Controllership.
In this role, the Senior Accountant will be the liaison between
Kraft Heinz and our third-party unclaimed property administrator.
Tasks will include ensuring that all unclaimed property has been
identified, properly recorded in the General Ledger, and reflected
in our tracking software. The Sr. Accountant will also review and
approve returns and payment requests to state agencies and property
owners. Other support will be needed as requested from our
administrator.
In addition to unclaimed property, the Senior Accountant will be
responsible for performing monthly accounting entries and
reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the
financial statements. This will require cross functional
collaboration with domestic and international teams, such as Global
Business Services (GBS), Legal, and various other Finance and
Accounting groups. During the month-end close, the Sr. Accountant
will oversee the progress of close, facilitate allocation
assessments within SAP, and help to diagnose issues as they arise
with IT and the business. Other ad hoc duties will be required as
business needs change.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who possess excellent
analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail,
and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a
great opportunity to learn and grow with the company.
